(2) Christiania Hotel
The Christiania Hotel is without doubt the best hotel in town with an elegant flair, a terrace outside and a good view of the mountains. There is also an indoor swimming pool to relax after a hard day of skiing or for those who do not want to ski but only relax. Rooms are 124-351 euros per day, including full or half board.

(3) Blizzard Hotel 
A lovely 4 star hotel in the resort centre with traditional wooden decoration and open fires.  Outdoor heated pool, sauna steam room and Jacuzzi with masseurs on site. Rooms are 136-416 euros per day, including full or half board.

(4) The Eagles Nest: The Eagles Nest is a fantastic new chalet which comes complete with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room.  Spread over 4 floors linked by a lift this is undoubtedly the best chalet in Val d'Isere.  From 700-2,100 pounds (average 1,300 pounds) per person for 7 nights in a catered chalet.  Piste access for intermediate skiers adjoining, beginners need to walk to the piste.

(5) La Vieille Maison
La Vieille Maison is an old farmhouse transformed into a restaurant with nooks and cranies to eat in, two fireplaces and lots of tone, old beams and character with a savoyarde cuisine. Open Mon-Sat noon-2pm and 7-9:30pm, reservations recommended.

(9) Killy Sport
Killy is the legendary French skier who designed the ski arena of Val d'Isere, hence the name Espace Killy. There are many great sport shops in town, such as Quick Silver, Billabong, Columbia, White Stuff, Fat Face…, etc. However, Killy Sport has a great selection of clothes and skiing accessories, and Killy ski suits are renowned for their quality and warmth. Opening hours vary throughout the season but generally are 8.30am-7pm.
